After an extensive rebuilding, replacement and repair operation -- MahoBeachCam.com is streaming live sound and video once more. As St. Maarten recovers from the unprecedented damage that resulted from category 5 Hurricane Irma, PTZtv viewers are now able to observe that process from our viewpoint at Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM).
Part of the rebuild included new antennas for our hosted receiver station for Flightradar24, enabling live ADS-B aircraft tracking for SXM and beyond.
Many thanks to all of the viewers who have been contributing to our recovery fund. Those donations were used to help purchase a new camera and other hardware for Maho Beach Cam.
A very special thanks also to JetBlue Airways who kindly offered to sponsor our return to Maho and provided flights to and from the island. Watch the video below to see the first JetBlue appearance live on our newly-restored camera.
Hurricane Irma reached Fort lauderdale on Sunday September 10th. PTZtv's Hilton Beach Cam captured this footage as very strong winds battered the famous beachfront, driving storm surge across the A1A highway.
Hurricane Irma, a massive and historically strong cat 5 storm made a direct hit on the island of St. Maarten / St. Martin. Damage to buildings was extensive, triggering an international rescue and recovery effort.
Both PTZtv cameras on St. Maarten broadcast live as the storm hit the island.... before they too were disabled. We captured some of their last footage in the videos below. Both of which were featured by news organizations across the world.
PTZtv's Atlantic City Webcam captured the annual airshow performance by the United States Air Force aerial display team, the Thunderbirds.
United States President Donald Trump arrived at Miami International Airport aboard Air Force One and PTZtv's Miami Airport Cam captured the spectacle.
American Airlines 757 flight #1753 from Charlotte to St Maarten was forced to do a very late go-around in extremely poor visibility. Maho Beach Cam captured the moment live with scary-looking video and sound.
